NORTHCOTE ANNUAL REPORT

The annual report of tlio Nortlicote Committee of the Plunket Society states that the year ended with a credit balance after all financial obligations were met. Besides payment of the yearly quota to headquarters, rent of rooms, and incidental expenses, donations had been made of five guineas toward the funds Auckland headquarters and 10 guineas in respect to the upkeep of the Auckland Karitane Hospital. The committee had also given their services to assist Auckland headquarters on Plunket Day, when the sum of £45 Os 3d had been collected by Northcote members. The committee had also raised £6 0s Id for the Northcote Welfare League by organising the cake stall at the recent fair. Free Karitane products had been provided throughout the year to every necessitous case in the district, including children of relief workers Babies had been transported to the Karitane Hospital at Auckland free where required to enter that institution at short notice on the recommendation of either of the honorary medical advisers, JJr. 11. G. Dudding or Dr. K. H. Holdgate. These benefits were to be continued. Thanks were extended to all who had assisted during the year, including the Borough Council, for use of the chambers for monthly meetings.
