PUK'EKOHE, Saturday j The tenth annual athletic sports of Wesley College, Pnernta, were held in the grounds to-day. There was a fair attendance of parents and visitors and, although the sky was overcast, and at ono stage misty rain fell, tho events were completed on schedule. Three school records were broken. In throwing tho cricket ball 69yds. 9in in the junior event. J. Oien broke the previous record, 67yds 2ft, which was established by C. Kidd in 1928. L. Bennett's time of 28m 29 l-5s was a record for the junior cross-country run. and the 27s taken by L. Cook to win the 220 yd» senior was 2-sths of a, second faster tho.ll P. Rogers' record time last year. The senior champion this year is H. Rogers, 185 points, and the runner-up L. Cook, 17 points. J. Labarre, 20 points, won the junior championship, and L. Bennett. 16* points, was the runner-up. House points were won as follows: —Senior: Simmonds, 381; School, 37£. Junior: School, 71; Simmon<Js, 23.
