MATCHES AT HAMILTON [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Sunday A one-day match was played yesterday between the Colts and tho Rest. The Colts team, which hatted first, compiled 117 (O. McKenaie 36. K. L. Sandford 31 not out, R. Seccombe 25). Tho Rest easily passed its opponent's score by knocking up 216 (H, Going 39, N. Winger 39, H. Bell 30, J. B. Pomeroy 26, R„ Clough 23). Ihe final game to decide the senior B championship competition was commenced between Hamilton East and Frankton United. Hamilton East batted first and scored 131 (D. Jnckson 33, G. Mcßae 17, A. Crabb 15). When stumps were drawn Frankton United had replied with three wickets for 26 runs.
In the junior competition, Marist B and High School, the loaders in the scries, played to decide the championship, Tho game resulted in a draw. Marist B scoring 123 (Sklenars 57), and Hitch School replying with four wickets for 82 runs at stumps.
DUTHIE OUP CONTEST VICTORY FOR WAIUKtJ [from OUR OWN" cobrkspondkxt] PUKEKOHE. Suturday Although it retained the Duthie Cup over tho whole of last season from all challenging clubs, Pukekohe was defeated by a team from Waiuku to-day. Waiuku batted first and declared when it had lost eight wickets for 219 runs (Sampson 36, Cooper 30, Hodgkinson 16, Wotberspoon 27. G. Zinzan SG, Mulgan 15 not out)., Gasparich took four wickets for 87 runs. Pleydell one for 47 and Fox three for 32. Pukekoho was dismissed for 137 runs (Blake 12. Rose 23. Cartwright 38. Wild 30 not out). Aspin took three wickets for 25. G. Zinzan three for 42, and Mulgan four for 23.
