PRACTICES HELD BY CLUBS With the opening of the seapon fast approaching, members of the hockey clubs in the city and suburban areas arc losing, no opportunity of getting fit and thero were good attendances at the various practices held on Saturday afternoon. TAUBANGA ASSOCIATION [from our own correspondent] TAURANGA, Saturday The annual report presented to the annual meeting of tho Tauranga Hockey Association stated that the past season had been a successful one, and the balance-sheet showed a credit balance. A motion of condolence with the relatives of the late Mr. J. A. Jordan was passed in silence. Officers wore elected as follows: —Patron, Mr. W. S. Harris: president. Mr. M. Murphy; vice-presidents, Messrs. K. Connell, P. F. Purcell. H. E. Olding, F. Jordan W. A. Paterson, L. Green; secretary and treasurer. Mr. T. Wylie; executive committee, president, two vice-presidents, a member of the Referees' Association, one member froni each club, and the secretarytreasurer. It was decided that the season be opened on Wednesday week. Meissrs. F. Armer and Arthur Stewart were elected life members in recognition of tlieir services to the association over a lons period.
