SOUTH AUCKLAND BRANCH [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON. Saturday The annual meeting of the South Auckland branch of the Railway Officers' Institute was held this week. Mr. J. W. Shepherd presiding over a good attendance of members. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Chairman, Mr. J. S. Lynch; vice-chairman. Mr. G. T. Martin; secretary and treasurer, Mr. V. J. Alexander; committee, Messrs. A. F. Parlane, M. P. Sheridan, 11. J. Love, J. \Y. Shepherd, A. J. McGrail, C. C. IJoarilcy, D. Hemi, T. J. Lindsay, L. G. Collins and J E. L. Evans.
A vote of thanks was passed to Mr. Shepherd and Mr. Lynch for their past services in the capacities of chairman and branch secretary and treasurer respectively
