BAY OF" PLENTY ACTIVITIES [from our own correspondent] TAURANGA, Saturday There was a large attendance at the annual meeting of the Bay of Plenty Scottish Society. The chief, Mr. R. J. Clarkson, gave a. resume of the year's working £ind congratulated the members on the successful season just closed. Mr. R. Forshaw, the conductor of the orchestra, was presented with a case of music in appreciation of his services. The following officers were elected: —Chief, Mr. R. J. Clarkson; chieftains, Messrs. R. *A. McNaughton and J. Law; secretary and treasurer, Mr. W. G. Sim; councillors, Messrs. J. C. Aitken, J. H. Davidson, A. S. McKinlay, J. McLaren, G. D. McLaren, R. McLeod and R. Stewart; auditor, Mr. J. Auld; honorary pipers, Messrs. C. Cameron and J. H. Davidson; ladies' committee, Mesdames Hiekey, Smith, McNaughton, Sams, Clarkson, McKinlay and Misses E. Lochhead, J. Sim and Fletcher.
