MOTOR-CYCLE RACES
POSTPONED FOR A WEEK The wot weather on Saturday resulted in the postponement of the motor-cycle races, which were to have been hold by the Auckland Motor-Cycle Club at Takapuna racecourse. Officials of tho club considered the wet grass track would bo unsafe for tho high speeds that were expected. It is i)roposed to hold tho meeting next Saturday if the weather is suitable. The programme includes the New Zealand middle-weight and light-weight championships, and a number of Southern riders had brought fast machines to Auckland for these events. It is expected that tho majority of the visiting riders will compete next Saturday.
