MINISTER APPOINTED
JOINT CHARGE OF CHURCHES
A decision to appoint the Rev. Murray A. Ciow to the joint charge of St. Mungo's (.Richmond) and St. Peter's Presbyterian Churchos was reached at' a meeting of the congregations of tlio two churches. The meeting, which was presided over by the Rev. Frazcr Barton, decided that tlio joint charge should bo known as Crc.y LvnnRichmond.
Mr. Cow, who was ordained to the ministry in 1024, was appointed six years ago to the parish of Waikaka, Gore. It js probablo that he will take up his now position in June. He is a son of the lato llev. A. Cow, of Hamilton.
Tho office-bearers and members of both churches expressed their willingness to assist in tho work of the now minister. Both churches will remain open, and will conduct morning and evening .services as .ip the past,. St, Peter's has been without a minister since the Rev. E. H. Kedgloy left tho charge f<?r Napier two months ago, while St. Mungo's has not had a minister for the last 16 months. During recent months the churches have found it expedient to join forces and co-operate in certain directions, owing to tho effects of tho economic depression.; 1
