DIRECTION TO THE JURY
, SYDNEY, April 21 In the action in which the Bank of New Zealand proceeded against John Wren, of Melbourne, in respect of a guarantee, Mr. Justice Ealse Eogers, directed the jury to decide that the evidence given by Wren of a conversation between him and the then Sydney manager of the bank concerning the limit c/i the amount to be advanced to A. C. Cook, Limited, was not such ns could be accepted in this instance, and that any such agreement should have been in writing. Judgment was for the plaintiffs for £ls/225, the full amount claimed,
