BASIC WAGE RAISED
AUSTRALIAN CITIES COST OF LIVING HIGHER ■ / MELBOURNE:. April 91 Chief Judge Dethridge in the Arbitration Court to-day announced that the If/ rise in the cost of living in Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane shown bv the "all items" table for the March quarter would be added to the new basic wage announced by the Court on Tuesday. The increase would be effective from Jime 1. There is no change in Melbourne, Hobart and Perth rates.
