A DOUBLE EGG

Dear Miss Morton.—l thought you would be interested in a curiosity which I found in one of our hens' nests. It was an egg inside an egg. The outer egg was about half the size of a bantam's egg, and the inside egg took the place of the yolk of the former. I always read the Children's Page of the Supplement, so that is why I thought I had better write to you. —From Heather Granger, Whitford (age 11 years).
