BEEF FOR LONDON
TUSCAN STAR TO LOAD THIRD CHILLED SHIPMENT The third shipment of chilled beef from Auckland for England will be taken by the Blue Star Line motorship Tuscan Star, which is making her second visit to New Zealand and is due this morning from Napier to complete her refrigerated and general cargo. She in scheduled to sail for London on Monday. On her first visit, to Auckland the Tuscan Star did not load chilled beef, but slhe was followed by the Sultan Star and the Avelona Star, and both these vessels took a consignment,. the Sultan Star having about 1300 carcases and the Avelona Star about 2000 carcases.
-It ii? expected the Tuscan Star will load about 2030 carcases. She is being followed by the Doric Star, which is now loading at New Zealand ports and ifi due at Auckland about the middle of this month to complete loading. Two other Blue Star steamers, the Sultan Star and the Trojan Star, have left London for New Zealand in ballast, to load for Great Britain. The Blue Star Line has 30 vessels, but the Tuscan Star i» the only motor-ship in the fleet, the other vessels being steamers.
