COMPLIMENTARY SOCIAL

A social was held at the Glen Eden Methodist Church on Monday evening, when portraits of Mr. and Mrs. J. M Tregaskis were unveiled by the Rev. V. Le Binet. Mr. Binct made reference to the loyal and devoted service of Mr and Mrs. Tregaskis to the church at Glen Eden, extending over a period of 22 years, and also of the very high regard in which Mr. and Mrs. Tregaskis were held by the residents of Glen Eden. Messrs. A. J. Routley and J. Edleston, representing the trustees, and Mr. F. Green for the Sunday School, also paid tribute to Mr. and 'Mrs. Tregaskis. A programme of selected items was presented by Miss Kathy- Ingram, Mrs. A. Clcgg (elocutionists) and Messrs. G. Harrison and W. B. Cameron (vocalists). Mrs. W. R. Harrison being the accompanist. Refreshments were served by the ladies and several competitions were held.
