MAORI WOMAN'S DEATH

A Maori woman, Ani Hohepa Tawliai, aged 56, of Wharerakau, diod yesterday while working on a corn plantation near her home. When she did not return to her home a search was instituted and the woman was found dead at 10 o'clock in the evening. An inquest will be opened at Haweno to-morrow before Mr. A. E. Andrews, coroner.
