Feb. 4 In the Coogee baths last evening tho 440 yards women's national championship of Australia was won by Joyce Cooper (England) in sm. 50 l-55., lowering tho record by 3-ss. hold by Jean Cocks. Edna Davey was a close second in sm. 515., and Evelyn Delacey (Western Australia) was third in 6m. 10s. : The title cannot go to Miss Cooper and will pass to Miss Davey. Bonnie Mealing, swimming solo, lowered the 150 yax-ds backstroke record by 3-ss. Her time was lm 54 3-ss.
