ROWING IN SYDNEY
CHAMPIONSHIP EVENTS RECORD OVER THREE MILES (Received February 4, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY. Feb. 4 The New South Wales champion eights were rowed on the Nepean River yesterday. Sydney, stroked by Jack Goulding, formerly a leading sculler, won in convincing style by six lengths from Mosman and University, in the record time of 15 minutes 14 seconds for the three miles. Herbert Turner won the heavy-weight champion sculls and Stan Hoskins won the light-weight sculls.
