There is a bettor tone in the London butter market, and an -upward tendency, in quotations, which closed on Saturday evening at 68s to 69s per ewt., as against 65s to 67s previously reported. - The cheese market is also firmer.

Deliveries of New Zealand butter last week at 1787 tons were 346 tons lower than the previous week, and 213 tons ilovrer than those for the corresponding week of 1933. The quantity in store at 3750 tons, although slightly higher on the week, was 3228 tons lower than that at the corresponding date in the previous season. Australian deliveries rose 1225 tons to 3700 tons on the week, while the quantity in storo was reduced by 250 tons to 6400 tons.

A substantial weight of butter was shipped from New Zealand daring tha week ended Saturday, four/ steamers lifting 239,8-13 boxes salted, 13,049 boxes unsalted, and 1442 boxes whey butter, together with 35,407 crates white and 20,431 crates colpured cheeks. The largest consignment was despatched by the Fordsdale,. which sailed from Auckland, carrying 98,293 boxes butter and 16,593 crates cheese.
