CRIME IN SYDNEY
The valuo of property reported .stolen last year in tho Now South Wales metropolitan police district was £136,183. Tho district includes the whole of Sydney and the surrounding country districts. The valuo of property actually recovered and returned to the owners was £'55,99-1. The number of crimes reported was 17,368, and the number of crimes cleared up was 14,918, or So per cent.
