DOMINION TOUR
AUSTRALIAN CRICKETERS^ POSSIBLE DEFECTIONS RICHARDSON AND FINGLETON ONE REPRESENTATIVE MATCH By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received February 2. 7.35 p.m.) SYDNEY. Feb. 2 Before Victor Richardson left Sydney for Adelaide to-day he said it- was possible that he would not go to New Zealand with the Australian touring cricketers. Fingleton also i 3 doubtful whether he can make the trip. In connection with the team's itinerary in Now Zealand-Sir. R. Oxlade, chairman of the Board of Control, says there will bo no actual test matches, because Australia's first team is going to England. However, a really good second team will tour New Zealand and wiil play one representative match at Dunedin on March 2, 3 and 5..
The Australian's itinerary will be as follows:
V. Rangitikei at Marton, February 20 and 21. V. Wellington at Wellington, February 23, 24 and""26. V. Ashburton at Ashburton, February 27 3tnd 28. V. New Zealand at Dunedin, March 2, 3 and 5. V. South Canterbury at Timaru, March 7 and 8. V. Canterbury at Christchurch, March &, 10 and 12. V. Hawke's Bav at Napier, March 14 and 15.
V. Poverty Bay at Gisborne, Marsh 17 and 19. V. Auckland at Auckland, March 23, 24 and 26. V. Munawatu at Palmerston North, March 27 and 28. The original itinerary as drawn up by the New Zealand Cricket Council included a second match against New Zealand at Wellington on March 29 and 31 and April 2. This, apparently, has been dropped. TEAM FOR ENGLAND OXENHAM'S OMISSION QUEENSLAND INDIGNANT (Received February 3. 12.15 a.m.) BRISBANE. Feb. 2 Considerable indignation has _ been caused in Queensland by the omission of R. Oxehham from the Australian cricket team to tour England, and by the fact that no Queensland representative has been chosen for that tour. The Courier-Mail has arranged a testimonial for Oxenham, in which it is inviting public subscriptions in recognition of his services to Australian cricket. . . Oxenham is extremely disappointed at his non-inclusion in the team. He admits that overtures were made to him by the Lancashire League, which at present he is not entertaining.
