RUSSIAN BALLOON REPORT OF COMMISSION (Received February 2, 10.35 p.m.) MOSCOW. Feb. 1 A commission of inquiry reports that the balloon Sirius, the three members of the crew of which were killed as they were descending on Monday, had reached the record altitude of 72,160 ft. Tho recording instrument in the wrecked gondola was found intact.
