GRAY'S INN CARRIES ON The memory of the tate Earl of Birkenhead, who was a Bencher of Gray's Inn, was honoured at the Hall of the Inn on December 14, when two loving cups, 12 silver tankards, and a smith's hammer in silver were presented for use in the Benchers' room. The Inn's collection of tankards, now numbering 60 or 70, was started by the late Lord Birkenhead, who persuaded friends he enterto-ined at the Inn to arid to the collection.
