EGG ON THE DOORSTEP
Thousands of householders in various parts of Norfolk have recently been puzzled by the latest idea in salesmanship. A knock comes at the door. They answer, but find nobody there. On the step is a large, new-laid egg—free for the taking! The idea is that of a Norfolk poultry farm in search of new customers. Wrapped around the egg, which is placed in a little bag bearing the slogan " From Hen to Home," is a letter. Norfolk grocers are wondering how to meet this nftsr form of competition.
