PLUCKY BOY'S ACTION
After completing the first day of his examination, Benjamin Bingley, a Leicester schoolboy, had his leg broken in a motor-car accident. He was taken to tho Leicester Infirmary, but pleaded so earnestly to be allowed to complete the examination that an ambulanco took him daily to the school. It was subsequently stated by Professor Harold J. Laski, in distributing the prizes at Leicester City Boys' School, that Bingley, in spite of the pain which he was suffering at tho time, had passed the matriculation examination with two distinctions.
