FOUR NEW APPOINTMENTS (Received January 24, 11.55 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 24 A new Royal Academician is Mr. S. J. Lumorna Birch. New associates arc Messrs. Charles C'lere, Stanley Anderson and Charles Wheeler.
_ Mr. S. J. Lamoma Birch, who was made an associate of the Royal Academy in 1H26, is represented in oil and water colour in several public galleries in Britain, also in New Zealand, Canada and the United States. Ho is famous for his landscapes.
