En route from South Island ports, the Winijatui left Wellington for Auckland last evening. She is due on Monday morning and will unload at Prince's Wharf. The excurstion steamer Duchess will make three trips to Matiatia to-morrow. She is scheduled to leave Auckland at 9.45 a.m.. 2 p.m. and 6.30 p.m., leaving Matiatia (Oneroa) for Auckland at 11.15 a.m., 5 p.m. and 7.45 p.m. THE PORT WAIKATO The Port Waikato sailed for Sydney, via Whangarei, last evening. She will load at Australian porta for New Zealand. THE KIWITEA The Kiwitea left Newcastle last Tuesday for Napier and Gisborne. She is due at Napier on Monday. DALRYAN FROM JAVA The British steamer Dalryan is due from Java at five o'clock to-morrow evening with a full cargo of raw sugar for discharge at Chelsea. KAIMIRO BARBOUND

The Kaimiro was barbound at Greymouth yesterday, and her departure for New Plymouth and Auckland was postponed until this morning. AORANGI CLEARED SUVA The Royal Mail liner Aorangi cleared Suva yesterday in continuation of her voyage from Auckland to Vancouver. She is due at Vancouver on January 26. SULTAN STAR SAILED Having completed loading in New Zealand, the Blue Star Line steamer Sultan Star sailed for London, via Panama, last night. THE KA'LINGO The Kalingo is to leave Clarence River for Newcastle to-morrow to complete; loading for Auckland, Tauranga, Wellington, Lyttelton and Greymouth. MONTEREY DUE 7.30 A.M. The Monterey is due from Sydney at 7.30 o'clock this morning. The vessel will berth at Prince's Wharf, and she is scheduled to sail for Los Angeles, via Island ports, at one o'clock this afternoon. THE SCHOONER HUIA The Nobel auxiliary schooner Huia is expected from Oamaru, via Port Chalmers, at the week-end. After discharging her cargo at King's Wharf x the vessel will undergo her periodical overhaul and survey. HORATIUS RENAMED The Aberdeen Line Bteamer Horatius, which has been taken over by the Shaw, Savill Company after having been laid up for three years, has been renamed Kumara. She is to leave England for Australia at an early date and will not visit New Zealand this voyage. SULPHUR FROM TEXAS The Bank Line steamer Aymeric, which is due from GalvesVjn, Texas, on Monday morning, will unload a quantity of her sulphur cargo at King's Whari and the remainder at Port Chalmers. THE KENT - The Federal Line steamer Kent arrived at Wellington from London in ballast last evening. The vessel will load at Wellington. Timaru, New Plymouth and Wanganui. She is scheduled to clear Wanganui for London on February 3. ASHBURTON EXPECTED The A. and A. Line's chartered motorship Ashburton iB due at an early date from New York, Newport News and Gulf of Mexico poris. She had not reported by wireless yesterday. The vessel's cargo is for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Australia. THE RANGITATA The New Zealand Shipping Company's motor-liner Rangitata left Tokomaru Bay at eleven o'clock yesterday morning for Auckland, where she ia due early this morning. The vessel will berth at Central Wharf to complete loading, and she is scheduled to sail for London, via Panama, next Friday. THE CAMBRIDGE To continue loading for London and West Coast ports of Great Britain, the Federal Line steamer Cambridge left Napier for Auckland yesterday afternoon. The vessel is due this evening and she will berth at Piince's Wharf. She will complete loading at Wellington, from where she will sail for London on January 24. (LENGTHENING THE DORIC STAB The Blue Star Line steamer Doric Star is being fitted with a new forepart at Palmer's Shipbuilding Company's yard, Tyne. The operation wjjl add 30ft. to the vessel's length and increase her speed. After the work has been completed she will enter the New Zealand trade. The Done Star is a vessel of 10,441 tons and was built at Glasgow in 1921.
