BURGLAR IN OFFICE
THEFT OF CASH BOX A cash box, containing cheques, and also notes and cash totalling about £3, was found to be missing -when the staff arrived at tha office of Dehvdrated Products, Limited, in Cross 'Street, Newton, yesterday morning. The thief, who entered after forcing open a window, also stole two fountain pens and a mirror. The office was in disorder when the staff reported for duty, papers being scattered about the floor. The burglar ate an orange which had been left in the office, and added the peel to the general litter. The cheques stolen were not negotiable.
