PALMER MEMORIAL TROPHY
PRESENTATION TO-MORROW - The presentation of the Bert Palmer Memorial trophy for junior boys Rugby competition will be made by Mr. J. Arneil, president of, the Auckland Rugby Union, during the interval of the match between Marist and Ponsonby at Etlen -^ a rk morrow. The trophy was presented by Mr. J. Marsden Caughey to perpetuate the memory of the late Mr. B. P. Palmer, an Auckland and New Zealand representative player. A feature regarding the trophy is that the actual winning of games is not brought into account, but team epirit, loyalty, punctuality and conduct on and ofi the held are the main considerations in awarding itw Tho winners this season are the Manukau junior A team with 337 points, Suburbs junior B and Newton B following m that order with 334 and 333 points respectively. All three teams will be present when the presentation is made to-morrow. The releiees of the various junior games award the points and 'the Teaults aro not known to anyone except the official who computes them each week.
