We aro all in the same boat with regard to diminished incomes, and it would surprise you to know that water is being used so sparingly in a good many homes by the careful housewife that it becomes a real danger to the community. I quite realise the difficulties the North Shore subarbs are working under, with regard to tho lake. But why not make an efFort to get a permanent, plentiful supply? I hope other ratepayers will take up this urgent matter. At present water is costing me nearly £4 a year for four people. This is too much, and we are very careful not to waste any. Cleanliness,
