Furkert, reported to the Oamaru Harbour Board yesterday on the proposed breakwater extension to enable the harbour to be deepened and a better entrance provided by a wing extending easterly 880 ft. frepi the present breakwater. The cost is estimated at £96.500. Tne board referred the report to the standing committee for a report to be presented to a special meeting later.
