TRAGEDY AT CROSSING
NEGLIGENCE ALLEGED CHARGE AGAINST MOTORIST [by TELEGRAPH —PRElfs ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Wednesday A charge of negligent driving, causing death, was brought against Stanley Franklin Lincoln, who appeared before Mr. E. Page, S.M., to-day. The charge arose out of a tragic accident which occurred on the night of May 21, when accused was driving back to Palmerston North and attempted to cross the railway line at Porirua. Accused's wife, his four-year-old daughter, Mrs. Gaskin and Miss Enright, passengers in the car, lost their lives. Lincoln was committed for trial, bail being granted on a surety of £SO.
