ROAD SLIP CLEARED
RESUMPTION OF TRAFFIC NEW PLYMOUTH HIGHWAY [by TELEGRAPH OWN CORRESPONDENT] NEW PLYMOUTH, Friday The large slip which blocked the main north road at Boddy's Hill, near Mahoenui, yesterday, was finally cleared this morning. A large gang of men worked all yesterday and last night with explosives and picks and shovels. Service cars and transport lorries were able to proceed north and south this morning, and normal schedules have been resumed.
A further slip at this spot is unlikely, as all tho loose and overhanging material appears to have fallen.
