Severol candidates for the Taranaki Hunt meeting were sent along. Headmistress was doing belter than Silk Sox at tho end of five furlongs in 1.81, but neither was ridden out. Glenvane impressed more than Chief Joy over a similar distance in 1.7}. Glenvano is looking and working well. Amyril and Tahurangi ran half a mile easily in 555, both hitting out in pleasing style. Glowlight and General Quox went twico round on tho insido at on easy pace. The former was again slightly soro in front beforo going out, but soon shook it off. This trouble has her trainer puzzled at present. Windscreen and the Tigritiya filly (sprinted a furlong down the back nnd then did steady pace work. Both nro coming on nicely.
