OLD MOTOR-TYRE TUBES
Rubber cut from an inner tube has several uses at the sink. A square piece, when put under an enamelled bowl, will prevent tho bowl from damaging the surface glaze of the sink, and save a good deal of clattering, too. Another piece put ou the drainingboard will prevent breakages, should china or glass be put down carelessly. Another excellent idea is to slip a broad rubber band cut from an old tube round the wooden part of a broom The rubber will prevent damage to furniture if accidentally knocked when sweeping. 4
