*, PIAKO AT MELBOURNE CUSTOMS SEIZE MONEY (Received August 24, 8.15 p.m.) MELBOURNE, Aug. 24 The cargo steamer Piako, from Dunedin, was searched on her arrival at Melbourne; to-day and £2OB worth of English silver was discovered secreted in the vessel's forepeak. t Customs officers seized the money tut, failing proof of smuggling, it may revert to the owners of the vessel.
