VICTORIAN CENTENARY

POSSIBLE VISITORS EARL OF ATHLONE AND WIFE LONDON, Aug. 17 No decision has been made in connection with tho proposal that a member of the lloval Eamily should attend the Victorian Centenary celebrations next year, but there is a strong possibility of the Earl and Countess of Athlone attending. They are enormously popular in tho Empire, particularly as tho result of their regime in South Africa. Probably it. would be more convenient for tho Earl and Countess to leave England in the near future than for one of the King's sons. Moreover, their journey might not necessitate the use of a warship or an extensive staff, as with one of tho Princes.
