JUNIOR MANAGEMENT BOARD DISMISSAL OF PROTESTS The junior management board of the Auckland Rugby Union met last evening and received a letter from the Newton Club . protesting against an Eden player, claiming him to be a registered senior B player. It was resolved to notify Newton that this player had not taken part in more thr.r ono senior game, and then only as emergency, Tho protest was dismissed. It was decided to advise the North: Shore Club that the player protested i against by it was found to be in order, the protest being dismissed. A Manukuu sixth grade player appeared before the board, having been ordered off on Saturday last. He was suspended for ono playing Saturday. The . Otahuhu third grade intermediate team was granted permission to travel to Hamilton on Saturday next and also its second grade to Cambridge the following week. Tho College Rifles second grade team was granted permission to travel to Manurewa next Saturday. A request from the Waitemata Club that further matches would be played on its home ground was given favourable consideration. Seven teams are taking part and ploy, is divided in two sections, one of which ia being played at Pukekohe and the other mt Waiuku. HIGH SCHOOLS' MATCH NEW PLYMOUTH BEATS HAMILTON [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON. Tuesday The New Plymouth High School Rugby team defeated Hamilton, High School to-day by 23 points to 13. New Plymouth's first try was scored by Weston. Rowlands' converted. Hamilton was not long in retaliating and Nolan scored near the posts, K. Tukere convex-ting. Hamilton gained a lead of three points when R. Tukere kicked a penalty goal. At the beginning of the second spell the visitors began an attack, which culminated in Rowlands scoring. He converted again. Ekdall added to New Plymouth's score when he put in a splendid run and crossed the line well out. The kick failed. E. Tiikere thrilled the crowd when he intercepted at halfway and shot through the opposition to score between the posts. R. Tukere's kick made the score 13 all. Ekdall broke away again and outpaced the opposition to score in a handy position. Rowlands converted. A little later Hpre scored for New Plymouth from a dribbling rush. Rowlands again converted. Tho final score was New Plymouth, 23; Hamilton, 13.
