LADIES' TOURNAMENT THE DOMINION CONTESTS [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] DANNEVIRIvE, Tuesday The Dominion ladies' hockey tournament will commence to-morrow. The weather today is fine after rain yesterday and tho grounds promise to be in go.od order. Eighteen teams are competing, 16 from outside centres, including Eastern (Southland), the present holders of the "K" Cup, also OtagOi holders of the Floyd Shield. During sectional play nine games will be staged each day—one in the morning and the remainder in the afternoon. To-mor-row's draw is ns follows: Section A.—Akitio v. Auckland, Canterbury v, Wairarapa B, Ituahino B v. Southland. Section B.—Feilding v. Wellington, Otago v. Ashburtjon, Rualune A v. Wanganui. /' Section C.—Marlborough v. Bush, Manawatu v. TE AWAMUTU, Tuesday The Waipa Hockey Association's representatives to play tho Auckland representatives at To Awamutu on Wednesday afternoon are as follows: —Goal, J. Spcirs (Waratahs); fullbacks, R. Hinton (Waratahs) and L. Spiers (Paterangi) ;_lialves, I{. Spiers (Paterangi), S. Mncky (i'aterangi). and T. Macky (Paterangi); forwards, E. Richardson (Paterangi), L. Karl (Paterangi), B. Spiers (Paterangi), G. Wood (Waratahs) and G. Finch (Paterangi). With the exception that S. Macky replaces M, Finch, who was not available, this is tho team that won the Nordon Cup from Taranaki and lost it to Hastings.
