LOSS OF £1368 LAST YEAR NO DIVIDEND PAYMENT The accounts of C. L. Innes and Company, Limited, brewers, for tho year ended June 30, disclose a net loss of £I3G6, compared with a loss of £1371 in the previous roar and of £35 in 1930-31. No dividend is recommended. Allowance at the usual rate has been made for depreciation on buildings, plant and machinery, £2OBI being written off for this purpose. Provision for bad and doubtful debts amounts to £507. Stocks hold show a reduction. Hank overdraft has boen reduced by £I4OO and creditors aro lower by £485. Ihe loss for the year has been deducted from reserve, leaving that account at £7146. The directors stato that no trade or enterprise had suffered more severely from present conditions while thcro was tho additional burden of heavy taxation. Tho loss on tho year's working would havo been greater but for rigid economy in management. .Tho company has a paid capital of £30,077 in 20,686 ordinary scares of £1 each, and 9991 £1 preference shares. A dividend of 8 per cent was paid on ordinary shares prior to 1930-31. Tho usual dividend of 8 per cent was paid on preference shares in 1931. CATTLE FOR FIJI Five pedigree Friesian dairy cattle from tho Mnrvale Stud Farm. Howick, were shipped to Mr. A. H. Witherow, of Wai La, Nausori, Fiji, by the Monowai yesterday. The consignment comprises tho bull Hobson Hez 26th, tho heifer Holison Pamelia, first prize senior yearling at the Auckland Show this year; the heifer Hobson Ada I'. Hez; and two bull calves from these heifers. All these animals are of exceptional breeding, with high butter-fat backing.
