VISIT TO CHRISTCHURCH INTEREST IN SOCIAL WORK [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION*] WELLINGTON. Tuesdey The Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, and Lady Bledisloe will pay a visit of five days to Christchureh next month, arriving on September 28 and leaving on the following Monday. His Excellency will open the Canterbury Horticultural Society's spring flower j show on the day of arrival and the : following evening will attend the annual dinner of the Canterbury Chamber of ■: Commerce. - . Their Excellencies have expressed the wish to identify themselves during their stay with efforts of social workers, in particular those who are endeavouring to relieve poverty in the city, and | have suggested that arrangements be made for them to visit relief depots.
