UNCOLLECTED RENTS

WRITING OFF IN SYDNEY TOTAL OF OVER £IOOO Outstanding rents amounting to over £IOOO were written off by the Sydney City Council recently, when the chairman of the Finance Committee, Sir Samuel Walder, said it had been impossible for officers to trace many of the defaulters. The largest amount was £253;-others ranged * from £5 to £lll.
