CURE OF PNEUMONIA
DYING WOMAN SAVED SERUM FROM CONVALESCENTS LONDON, Aug. 3 Dr. Ronald tlare, of the research department in Queen Charlotte's Hospital, writing in the Lancet, describes the cure of a woman who was suffering from influenzal pneumonia. When she was in a dying state injections were made of serum taken from convalescent patients. These resulted in her complete recovery. Dr. Hare says that in the absence of any method of making anti-serum artificially tho employment of convalescent serum in this disease merits a further trial.
