CAR'S FATAL CAPSIZE
WOMAN'S DEATH RESULTS DRIVER ESCAPES UNHURT WHEELS ON GREASY PATCH [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] DUNEDIN, Friday As a result of a motor-car in which she was a passenger capsizing in Garfield Avenue, Koslyn, this afternoon, Miss Ivy May Davidson Perriam, aged 33, received injuries to the head which caused her death in hospital later in the day. Miss Perriam, who resided at Mosgiel, was travelling in her own car, which was being driven by a friend. He turned the car into Garfield Avenue, which is a very steep street, but deceased told him that was tho wrong street, and lio stopped the car, intending to back out again into Highgate. Tho wheels, however, were on a greasy patch and the car slid forward, going partly up a steep bank and capsizing. Tho driver escaped unhurt, but Miss Perriam received serious injuries to the head. She was taken to hospital, but died shortly afterward.
