SCRATCHED SILVER
Silver articles frequently develop small scratches, which will not yield to the usual cleaning me'thods, however carefully they are polished. They can be removed with the following treatment:—Moisten a little putty powder with pure olive oil until the two form a soft paste. Apply the paste liberally to the scratches and rub it in gently with a / circular movement. Tho scratches will gradually disappear under this treatment, and the articles , should then bo washed and polished -in? the rnsual-ivay.
