TWO NOMINATIONS RECEIVED Thoro arc two candidates, Mr. R. ■Pernor and Mr. G. J. Pickens, for tho Mayoralty of Mount Albert, rendered vacant bv tho appointment of Mr. W. P. Stilwell as a stipendiary magistrate. Nominations closed yesterday. Mr. Ferncr has been a momber of the Mount Albort Borough Council jsince 1931, and deputy-mayor since tho last election. Mr. Pickens, who is standing in tho interests of the Labour 'Party, was an unsuccessful candidate for the Mayoralty and for a seat on the council at the election on May 3. An election will bo held on Wednesday, August 16.
