INSULATORS BROKEN

STONE-THROWING BY MAORIS TWO MEN PROSECUTED [BT TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] GISBORNE, Thursday Two Maoris, both married men, appeared in the Police Court before Mr. E. L. Walton, S.M., charged with destroying a number of insulators on telegraph poles, valued at £5 10s. Detective McLeod explained that accused work on a farm and they had amused themselves on their way to work by throwing stones at insulators. Accused were regarded as the two best natives in the district find they offered no excuse for their conduct.

Each accused was fined £2 and costs, and ordered to repay the damage.
