Barton, S.M., in connection with a nuisance being created at Taita by a resident using fish remnants and olfal from tho markets as manure. Tho penalty could not be a light one, ho said, because defendant had flouted the Hutt Gount.v Council- after a licence had been refused. Defendant was P. Walters, ami the charge was that of carrying on an offensive trade in unlicensed premises. A fine of £ls was imposed.
