TO MEET UNIVERSITY The suggestion that tho leading sports organisations in Auckland should hold a combined gala day to assist the funds for tho Sports Queen in the Prosperity Week campaign was contained in a letter received from the Auckland Football ABBociution at last evening's mooting of the management committee of the .Auckland Rugby Union. Tho Auckland Football Association advised its willingness to co-operate, suggesting a combined sports attraction to bo held on the one ground on & date to be arranged. While the committee was in .sympathy with the object, it.was generally felt that the matter should be given further consideration, nnd it was decided to invito a representative from each of the sister codes to meet t.he union's representative at a meeting at which tho subject could be discussed.
