His successful swim across the English Channel some years ago is the most wonderful teat of its kind on record. A correspondent complains with regard to the Ponsonby Ward that the residents have to go out to the street to get their letters from the mounted postman; also that the branch P osC office is not made suitable for the reception of newspapers.
