DEATH OF A BABY ——— Mrs. E. Wearne, of Aloorabbin, ViO l toria, when returning from a brief visit to a neighbour at night lately, found her home in flames. She broke the window of the front room in which her child, aged 21 months, had been left. She seized the child from the bed * and rushed to a doctor, who found that the baby was dead. Death was due to burns and asphyxiation. t
