AGRICULTURAL COURSE
GROUND AT MOUNT ALBERT GRAMMAR BOARD'S VIEWS The extension of agricultural courses at Mount Albert Grammar School, and the possibility of co-operation with the Seddon Memorial Technical College wore further discussed at a meeting of tho Auckland Grammar School Board yesterday. A letter was received from Mr. F. W. Gamble, headmaster of Mount Albert Grammar School, enclosing a communication from Mr. G. J. Park, principal of the Technical College, who outlined a scheme for the control and management of a proposed farm school to be established on the area of 20 acres made available to the Grammar School Board by the Auckland Savings Bank at a nominal rental. At yesterday's meeting, the chairman, Professor A. P. W. Thomas, said that at a meeting of tho committee representing both boards f it was agreed to allow the Technical College to have the use of part of the ground and for pupils to have observational practice of all work done on the remainder. Tho suggestions now put forward by Mr. Park in his letter were on totally different lines from those agreed upon by the joint committee. Mr. Park's scheme, which included control by a committee, was one rejected by tho Grammar Board some time ago. In the circumstances he could not understand why Mr. Park had failed to carry out the wishes expressed at the conference. Mr. W. Ward Baker said he was afraid tho scheme would never work. He would much rather see the Technical College get an area, of land elsewhere. The following resolution was passed: —"lt appears from this correspondence that the two principals have not proceeded on the lines laid down by the joint committee. The Auckland Grammar School Board is prepared to proceed with the scheme discussed, giving the Technical College tho exclusive uso of an agreed area, and would be glail to know if a future meeting of the committee is desired." A copy of the resolution will be sent to the Technical College Board-
